Ratings and reviews

The new two factor authentication is so messed up. If you're not logged in to the app it doesn't work at all. You try to log in on your laptop and it tells you it's sent a notification to your app. So you try to log in on your app and ... it tells you it's sent a notification to your app!?! So you're in an infinite loop with no way to log in. I had to Google the problem. Turns out it's engineered to assume never log out from the app. Seems less secure than before! :(

I like the app layout. Very straightforward but it does seem laggy hence 4 stars rather than 5. The search function could be improved. Even viewing my account through a web browser it is slow. Good choice of ETFs and can't be beaten on cost with zero platform fees for DIY investing. Customer service is very good and replies are quick. For 'set and forget' passive investing, and for me having the option for a SIPP make Investengine a great choice.

I tried topping up my account but the system now seems to want me to use all off my bank login details, wether that's down to the bank or Invest Engine? but the previous method was smoother as I'd already verified banking details on first setting up the app between the bank and IE. Dec 2025..... All seems to be good.
