IOB Smart – Official Mobile App of Valuation of immovable properties for Indian Overseas Bank

IOB Smart is the official Android mobile application of Indian Overseas Bank designed exclusively for empanelled valuers to digitally capture property inspection data and upload valuation reports during physical site visits. The app is a core component of the Bank’s IOB Smart Portal & App ecosystem developed to digitalise the legal opinion and valuation process for immovable properties taken as collateral in credit proposals.

 

The application enables secure, real-time, and geo-tagged data capture, improving accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance in property-based lending.

 

Why IOB Smart?

 

In line with regulatory expectations on climate risk management and geospatial accuracy, Indian Overseas Bank has introduced IOB Smart to ensure that every property used as loan security is digitally mapped and verified through latitude and longitude–based tagging. This ensures reliable physical climate risk assessment, reduces manual errors, and improves auditability.

Key Features

 

Property Visit Capture - Capture photographs of the property during physical inspection.
Geo-Tagging- Automatically records latitude and longitude of the property location to ensure precise identification
Property & Inspection Details- Enter valuation observations, property details, and inspection inputs directly from site
Visit Confirmation- Mark visit completion from the mobile app, which enables the valuer to upload the signed valuation report in the IOB Smart Portal.
Secure Data Flow- All data is securely synced with the IOB Smart Portal for real-time access by branches
 

How the System Works

The branch creates a Property ID in the IOB Smart Portal.
The valuer receives the assignment in the portal.
During the site visit, the valuer uses the mobile app to:
      Capture photographs
      Record geo-coordinates
      Enter inspection details
After confirming the visit, the valuation report can be uploaded through the portal
