The Javanese–Indonesian Dictionary (KBJI) helps you find and understand the meanings of Javanese words, lemmas, and sublemmas through Indonesian definitions. This application can be used by Javanese speakers and the general public who want to learn and understand the richness of Javanese vocabulary.

About KBJI
The Javanese–Indonesian Dictionary is the second dictionary product presented by the Language Center of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, following the Javanese Dictionary (Bausastra Jawa).

The Javanese Dictionary is a monolingual dictionary because its words and definitions are both in Javanese. Meanwhile, the KBJI is a bilingual dictionary because Javanese vocabulary is explained in Indonesian.

The KBJI was developed to help people find the meanings of Javanese words easily, quickly, and accurately. Its presence is expected to support learning, research, translation, and efforts to preserve the Javanese language amidst the development of digital technology.

The development of the Javanese-Indonesian Dictionary has been a long process, spanning approximately eight years, beginning in 2013 and progressing in stages. The dictionary continues to be developed and refined to become more comprehensive, accurate, secure, and user-friendly.
