iOptron Commander Lite is not reliable and crashes repeatedly under all sorts of conditions and circumstances. One of the more annoying things is that crashes if you switch to another app (like checking a compass or the time), so that you have to kill it and restart. Unfortunately Commander Lite is the only way to send your time/date/location information to a SkyHunter mount, or manage the Zero Position when in Alt-Az mode. Otherwise, I ditch it in favor of SkySafari Pro--which connects easy!

This is perhaps the most clunky and primitive Android app I've ever used. I love my iOptron HAE mount! But iOptron should be embarrassed by this app and give it major overhaul or write a new version from the ground up! The interface is TERRIBLE, it barely works, sometimes doesn't at all. The lack of any visual, sound or haptic feedback when you press on controls means I often don't know if the app is freezing, ignoring inputs, my mount isn't responding or what. Miserable experience all around!

I use this app on a Samsung A33 to set the time and date (only) on my HEM15. The app is well laid out and clear but i have an issue with synching the GPS position from my phone to the mount. I often have to switch on another mapping application, force stop Commander Lite and restart it before it will synch the GPS. This is very annoying. It is easier to ignore the app and type the data into the handset by hand. Am i missing something about the connectivity?
