About this app

TopoXY is a coordinate converter for surveyors. It converts between your national grid and WGS84 both ways, measures distance, bearing, area and perimeter, and reads terrain slope straight off the map.

Stereo70, PUWG 1992 and PUWG 2000, S-JTSK Krovak, Gauss-Boaga and ETRS89 / UTM are all built in, for land survey, geodesy, civil engineering and GIS work across six countries.

PRECISION CONVERSION
• Stereo70 (EPSG:3844) to WGS84 and back, aligned with PROJ
• Poland (PUWG 1992 and PUWG 2000), Czech Republic and Slovakia (S-JTSK Krovak), Italy (Gauss-Boaga), Germany (ETRS89 / UTM)
• Pick the zone your measurements were surveyed in: Gauss-Boaga zone 1 or 2, UTM 32N or 33N, any of the four PUWG 2000 zones
• Sub-metre for Romania, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany. Around 1 to 3 m for Italy and Slovakia, where no NTv2 grid is bundled. The app shows that tier on screen.
• Bulk import from CSV or TXT files
• Coordinates formatted the way each country writes them

FIELD MEASUREMENTS
• Distance and bearing between two points, azimuth plus cardinal direction
• Area and perimeter for a polygon of three points or more
• Add points by hand or from your current GPS position
• Copy every result to the clipboard in one tap

MAP AND TERRAIN
• Standard map and high-resolution satellite imagery
• Slope between two points, with elevation filled in automatically from terrain data
• Navigate to any point with Google Maps or Waze

Note: TopoXY is an engineering aid. Surveying is a regulated activity in Romania, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Italy and Germany. Official records require certification from a licensed surveyor, so check results against authorised equipment before you file anything.
