About this app

Orthodoxy is more than an application. It is your personal catechism that you can use anytime and anywhere because you do not need a connection to the Internet or any other services*. It is intended for all Christian believers of the Orthodox faith and those who want to get acquainted with Orthodoxy through more than 50 educational topics distributed in six areas.

† the right to be informed - notifications inform you every morning about the holiday for the coming day

† library in your pocket - the entire Holy Scriptures, Psalms, Deuterocanonical books, Hours, Akathists, Ladder, Apocrypha...

† find out - need a quick answer? Find it immediately after entering the term you are interested in with just two clicks

† for the visually impaired - a special section adapted to the visually impaired with a larger display of text and the option of audio reading

† environment of your choice – app supports light and dark theme

† install and use – access to all areas is easy thanks to a clear home screen and simple navigation that is the same on every screen. No complicated settings

† caring for spirituality – your faith, privacy and security come first. When you know that the use does not require your data, permissions, access to the Internet* or other services or additional payments, you can fully devote yourself to the content

† tradition reconciled with technology - all content is placed in "Google Material Design" for all versions of the Android system from 5.0 to 15.0

† in step with new solutions - the first application in the Serbian language that brings adaptive icons and active shortcuts to the home screen of your phone

† copy and share – when you find content you want to save in Orthodoxy, just copy and share it directly from any other app

† food for your body - recipes for fasting meals

† stay up to date - every day you can read news from Orthodox life

† listen and watch – useful multimedia content

*no internet connection is required for the application to work properly. However, if you want to read news, announcements, the Ohrid prologue or the Apostle, that is, choose a wallpaper for your device or follow multimedia content, the internet option is mandatory.

The user can select the "News" option under "Orthodoxy" where the news headlines of the Living Words website will be loaded. Selecting any headline will launch the default browser on the user's device where the news will be displayed. The authors of the application do not influence the content of the news. The news does not represent the position and opinion of the author of the application.

Multimedia content - broadcast of Slovo ljubve live radio and recordings of lectures are content that are intensive in the use of data transmission (Internet). Please use these contents with care, preferably over WiFi. Do not use these options if you are abroad or do not use your home network (roaming).

Audio reading of content in the visually impaired section requires the user's device to be set to the Serbian language; to have active Internet access and an active TTS service.

The dark theme is enabled for users of Android system 10 or later and is displayed if the user has selected the dark display as the theme of the entire system.

To use customizable (adaptable) icons, at least Android system version 8.0 is required. Using active shortcuts requires at least Android system version 7.1.1.
