About this app

CDM (not an acronym, simply an easily vocalized, three letter name) is an app used for calculating weight distribution of tractor/trailer loads across vehicle axles. Targeted vehicles primarily include common Freightliner/Peterbilt/Kenworth/International tractor rigs and two-axle, 8-wheel trailers. However, this app can be used with any tractor/trailer combination containing an air suspension pressure gauge readout. It retains input history for each per-truck profile created. A profile with more history of inputs for the profile-specific tractor/trailer combination will display more accurate values of weights across all axles. Axle weight displays within CDM are only as accurate as the gross weight of cargo indicated on the BoL. Suspected inaccurate weight inputs can easily be removed. For more reliable calculations, a digital readout, such as a Freightliner dash display (usually hidden within the dash menu options), is the most reliable display for input values. An analogue gauge is less accurate, but still reliable enough to display good weight values in conjunction with a decent history for the profile. Any individual profile is intended to use only one type of air suspension pressure gauge. A profile that uses a history of digital readouts should always receive digital readout inputs. A profile that uses a history of analogue readouts should always receive analogue readout inputs. A profile that receives input from both digital and analogue inputs will display axle weights that vary beyond reasonable limits and are inaccurate. Digital scales are easier and more consistent to read than a needle in an analogue display.
