About this game

Every puzzle solves by logic alone. Never by guessing.

Unpixel is a nonogram: a picture logic puzzle, sometimes called paint by numbers. The numbers along each row and column tell you how many squares are filled and in what order. Work out which ones, fill them in, and a picture appears.

HOW IT WORKS
Tap a square to fill it, tap it again to mark it with an ×, tap once more to clear it. Press and drag to run a whole line at once. Pinch to zoom in on a tight grid.

BOARDS
• 5×5 — a quick one
• 10×10 — one good round
• 15×15 — take your time
Eighteen hand-drawn pictures to start. After those, the app builds new boards for you, and every one goes through the same solver before you ever see it.

MEGA
Two touching rows merge into one band, and a block that spans both is written as a single number sitting on the line between them. Those two rows lose their own clues, so Mega does not make the board easier — it adds a kind of deduction you have not done before. The promise is unchanged: still logic, still no guessing.

MURALS
One large picture cut into four boards. Solve all four and the borders come down to reveal a 20×20 or 30×30 image — bigger than a single board can carry without shrinking the clues past reading.

TIPS
• Undo, one stroke at a time
• A hint that points at your first wrong square before it points anywhere else
• A timer you can hide with a tap, and it stays hidden on the next puzzle too
• Finished lines dim their own clues so you stop recounting them
• Your board saves itself — leave mid-puzzle, come back whenever

DONE
Every finished picture is kept with the time it took, so a puzzle you solve a second time can be measured against the first. Badges track daily streaks and how many of each size you have finished.
Nonogram puzzles that always solve by logic. No guessing, ever.
