The ISCN Weather app is a daily weather resource for your smart phone, providing weather forecasts and current conditions not only for the state of Iowa, but for the entire United States! The app works wherever you take. The ISCN Weather app offers hi-res weather radar, 1 and 24 hour future radar, temperatures, surface winds, visible satellite, inferred satellite, forecast rainfall, and forecast snowfall. Built-in weather alerts also provide fully automated weather alerts right on your phone, simple to use and more specific than weather sirens, with a lead time of up to 15 minutes before the storm hits. You can set up to eight places to be monitored for severe weather, including your smart phones current location, so you always know what’s coming for your locations, and for the loved ones you want to watch over.

There are also a few different overlays you can include on the live radar page, including watches and warnings, lightning tracker, earthquakes, hurricane forecasts, and tropical forecast models.

In addition to all of the weather products, there is a built in page for live storm chasing, so when we are live streaming our storm chases, you can watch directly through the app. You can also send in storm damage photos or any other weather photos you take when you upload them directly through the app! Once you download our ISCN Weather app, you will be deleting all of your other weather apps as this app is simply the best weather app on the market!

Ratings and reviews

I appreciate the interactive radar that you can click on weather alerts to see what they are, the temp, and windspeed. I just wish there were a way to drop a location when it is no longer needed. If traveling, this radar is helpful with location weather alerts: flooding, tornado, thunderstorm watches and warnings. There just isn't a way to remove it from the list. The hourly estimated weather temps are great. The whole overall app is my go-to. I've recommended to others.

The new update does not allow resizing for your specific setup, such as if I wanted a 2x2 to be 3x4. I can't adjust for my liking as previously could. When I click on the widget, it does not load the app and errors out. Love more options, but I feel I went backward with not having the resizing ability to add a few widgets how I want. Have loved it until this update. S24 is being used.

When the app gives weather alerts (e.g. Rain is approaching), clicking on the notification opens the app, but then it immediately closes. I'd anticipate it would open the radar when clicking on the notification (at least that's my hope). Otherwise a fantastic app and super helpful.
