ACCESS

Island Savings is a division of First West Credit Union. Access is available to all members who currently use our online banking service. If you're not a First West Credit Union member, no problem—simply visit join.islandsavings.ca to set up a new membership and you'll get access as soon as your account is approved.

PERMISSIONS

In order to use the Island Savings Mobile App, you'll need to grant our app permission to access certain functions on your mobile phone, including:

• Full network access – Allows our app to connect to the Internet.
• Approximate location – Find our nearest branch or 'ding-free' ATM by allowing our app to access your phone's GPS.
• Take pictures and videos – Deposit cheques using Deposit Anywhere™ right from your mobile phone by allowing our app access to your phone camera.
• Access to your phone contacts – Get the utmost in convenience by allowing our app to access your list of contacts, that way you can send an Interac® e-Transfer to someone on your contact list without manually setting them up as a recipient in mobile banking.
Depending on your operating system, these permissions may be worded differently on your Android™ phone.

Use of the Mobile App is subject to the terms and conditions found in our First West Credit Union Account Access Agreement for both personal and business accounts.

I always enjoy the friendly and informative assistance i need regarding anything to do with my banking needs. Thankyou everyone at Island Saving.

Great app, works a bit faster and takes photos of the check better. But I want 2 features that existed in the old one and I don't see in the new one. 1. When making an e-transfer, it used to show current balance of the account on every screen. Very nice, want it in the new version. 2. Linking a Colabria master card. Please make this available again. Saves time significantly.

Was better before the latest updates removed useful login functionally. Users used to be able to remember their branch and username, but not auto login. However, as of the latest UI refresh they have removed this instead replacing it with a keep me logged in button (the most insecure feature ever made in this app). Automatic login should not be possible for security reasons, while remembering some of the many login credentials was helpful.
