About this game

A snake game where the board fights back.

You are Orochi, a white serpent loose in a ninja stronghold. Every ninja you
swallow makes you longer. Every ninja you leave alive is winding up an attack.

FIVE ELEMENTS, FIVE WAYS TO DIE

Each stage belongs to one element, and each one kills you differently:

• Earth cracks a lane open at its feet, and the rubble lingers
• Water sends a wave running out in a straight line, both ways at once
• Fire crowds the ground around itself, so standing near it is the trap
• Wind drifts, and leaves a gust in the space it just left
• Lightning does not guess — it strikes where your head is

Nothing kills without warning. A tile lights up first and turns lethal on the
next beat. Reading that half-second is the whole game.

THE MASKED ONI

Five waves of ninja, then the stage's boss lands. While the mask is on, biting
it is fatal. The mask splits for a few beats — that is the only window. Take it
three times and the stage is yours. Miss, and it slams down somewhere else and
starts the fight again.

THE POINT STAGE

Clear all five elements and a sixth board unlocks. No waves, no ending, all
five ninja at once, and a score that is finally kept. A masked oni turns up in
three encounters out of ten, and one of them belongs to no element at all — it
borrows a different one with every strike.

CONTROLS

Two buttons. Turn left, turn right. That is all there is, and it is enough to
lose with.
