IMPORTANT NOTE. PLEASE READ FIRST.
If you download the Voicemail Saver app and you are not able to save a voicemail from your visual voicemail to the Voicemail Saver, then your PHONE CARRIER may probably be T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless. In most cases, you will be able to save your voicemails to the Voicemail Saver but if not, please do the following so that you are able to save your precious voicemails.
Go to your Visual Voicemail and choose a voicemail that you would like to save. Press on it and look for "Save". If you see the "Save” option, try to rename your voicemail BEFORE you SAVE so that it will be easier for you to find the voicemail later. If you do not see the "Save" option, email it to yourself. Once you email it to yourself, follow the steps below.
Now what do you do?
If you were able to Save your voicemail without emailing it, go to your SETTINGS and look for STORAGE, then look for FILE MANAGER and look through all of the folders until you find where your voicemails are being stored. If you emailed it to yourself, go into your email and download it and then search for it in the “File Manager” folder and look through all of the folders until you find where your voicemails are being stored.
Once you find your voicemail, it will probably have an "amr" extension. Rename the voicemail extension to mp3 then Press on it and "Share" or "Forward" it to the Voicemailsaver. It should now allow you to do that and it should play correctly. An example after you've renamed the voicemail might be:
Judy August 8, 2018.amr
Rename it to: Judy August 8, 2018.mp3
Why did you have to do this? The reason is that some phone carriers will not allow you to share to some apps and still others may not allow certain file extensions. We are trying to find a solution to this problem but in the meantime, at least, you’ll be able to save your voicemails to the Voicemailsaver where they are safe. Don't worry, if you lose or change your phone, all you have to do is download the voicemail Saver app again (it won't charge you), sign in with your username and password and "just-like-that" all of your voicemails are there.
If you have trouble finding where the File Manager Folder is, please give us a call and we will walk you through the process.
