About this app
The South Carolina 511 mobile application provides real-time access to traffic and traveler information supplied by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (South Carolina DOT). Maps depict current traffic conditions, as well as incident and construction events that can impact traffic on all Interstate, U.S., and State Routes. DMS, alert, and weather information is also available. The map indicates the location of roadside cameras, which allow users to view current traffic conditions. As users move through the highway network, the app can keep track of their location on the map. Using your location, the Look-Ahead feature verbally notifies users of upcoming events, such as crashes. South Carolina DOT's Twitter feeds are also accessible and provide information impacting traffic across the state's regions.

Update. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The app is now fixed for my android! WHAT DID YOU DO!!!! My app is frozen on the message and only after reinstalling did I get the 'ok' button,,, that did Nothing!!! Still frozen on the message. And of course this happens when a major accident happens shutting down 26E Please fix this! And yes it is an android phone Thank you for responding!

What the hell...?!? I used to be able to move around the map freely, now this rubbish is constantly taking me back to my house--I'm not tryna see where I am!!! And the messaging function is very delayed and not always even close. I witnessed an accodent at 5:50 am one day, and it sent me a text stamped for 3:30 or something way after that occurred. 😞😒 I'll edit this when they fiz these bugs.

Hi, Randall. Sorry for the trouble. If you have location lock turned on in your map, tap the compass icon to unlock location, then you can move the map freely. All I get lately is a message saying, "Error while retrieving data..." and it dies. Can't click the message closed, have to terminate app.
