About this app

Nature GO is an animal identifier that turns real walks into a collecting game. Film a living animal, bug or plant for eight seconds, get a server-verified identification and add it to your own nature dex of 151 widespread species. It works as a wildlife identifier, a nature journal and a nature scavenger hunt in one app, in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.

FILM IT LIVE
Open the camera, keep your subject in frame and follow a short movement challenge for eight seconds. Nature GO only works from video filmed live in the app. Gallery photos and imported files are not accepted, so every entry in your species collection is something you actually found.

IDENTIFY BIRDS, INSECTS, MAMMALS AND PLANTS
You choose whether to send each clip. The service checks four frames and the movement, then suggests a species. Review the suggestion before you confirm it. Only server-verified captures fill your catalogue and earn XP. Identification needs an internet connection, can be inconclusive and may pause when analysis limits are reached.

YOUR 151 NATURE DEX
Five drawers: Birds, Plants, Insects, Mammals and Others, such as frogs, lizards, snails, spiders and fungi. Every species has a number. Blank entries show their number, drawer and a field mark, never the hidden name, so each walk becomes a hunt for the next one. Species outside the list go to Beyond the 151, numbered in the order you find them.

MEET PROFESSOR HAZEL, YOUR AI FIELD MENTOR
Professor Hazel is an AI and is always labelled as one. After an analysis she can add a reaction, a field note about your find and a next field request to look for, in your language. She can be wrong, so look closely too, and report any note from the app.

A NATURE JOURNAL THAT FILLS ITSELF
Species pages show common and scientific names, your repeated captures and any place labels you add. Reference photos are credited and never count as your captures. The free seven-day field report shows your accepted captures, species and first discoveries.

NATURE GO PLUS
Core features are free. Nature GO Plus unlocks 30-day, 90-day and 365-day field reports, a readable text export and 10 Professor Hazel analyses a day instead of 3, while base camp has capacity for the day. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before renewal.

PRIVACY
Clips are sent only after you agree. Your notes and place labels stay on your device and are never sent for analysis. There is no social feed and no public leaderboard. See the privacy policy for processing and retention details.

SAFETY
An identification is a suggestion, not a guarantee. Never use Nature GO to decide whether a plant, fungus or animal is edible or safe. Watch wildlife from a respectful distance and leave it undisturbed.

A new first screen: a blank entry develops into a real species of the 151, then the next.
