The Coleta app, developed by IZI SOLUÇÕES AGRÍCOLAS (IZI Agro), manages the soil sampling process for nutrient analysis, from field collection to shipment to the laboratory.
The journey begins with field collection. The collector views the work orders on an interactive map with collection points. Upon starting, the app records the location via GPS every 7 seconds, creating a route trail. Each point can have multiple soil depths to collect. During collection, the app requests mandatory photos (panoramic, ground, and depth) and can perform PPE audits. If a depth cannot be collected, the collector can justify it with a photo and comment. The app automatically records the time spent at each point.
After collection, the samples are sent for inspection. The inspector downloads the inspections by farm ID, which are stored locally for offline use. The samples are organized into numbered boxes, and the inspector uses the barcode scanner to read each sample. The application validates the codes, checks for duplicates, and automatically associates them with the plot. For quality control, there are standard samples that must be read before proceeding. After inspection, the data is sent to the server, and the boxes are ready for shipment.
The final step is shipping. The person in charge selects the inspected boxes and groups them into a batch, filling in information such as carrier, destination laboratory, tracking code, and delivery forecast. The application allows taking photos of the batch before shipping, automatically optimizing the images. Upon confirmation, the application sends the data to the server, updates the status of the boxes to "shipped," and maintains a history for consultation and tracking.

The application works in an integrated and offline-first manner. All work can be done without internet, with automatic synchronization when there is a connection. The interface offers clear visual feedback, with progress indicators and real-time validations. The result is a system that guarantees complete traceability: each sample has GPS location, photos, timestamps, and a complete history, allowing for auditing and quality assurance at all stages of the process.
