I like J1 and this app is just simple, is basically a radio on internet it works just fine and has 3 options for radio stations depending on what kind of japanese music style do you want to hear, for me is a simple way of listening a different variety of songs they also have a chart that I use to follow. Recommend if you want to just hear japanese emusic with no ads.

My go-to radio station. The app might be glitchy at times, especially after updates, but overall nothing frustrating has happened to me yet, the only issue I found is that the last played songs are always "Underground" by Dios, so I have no idea what's playing. Nevertheless it's one of a kind station and I highly recommend it regardless. I love it, and it could also be a nice Japanese practice resource since weather forecast and other news are also announced in Japanese, that has helped me too~

I'm neither japanese nor an old man. I just love city pop and old japanese songs. The J1 Gold Radio is just amazing I play it all day everyday. I discover even more japanese songs now unlike back then when I'm just using YT Music's recommendations. I especially appreciate the sleep timer function. Thank you J1 Radio, this is literally my favorite music/radio app. ありがとうございます (￣ー￣)ﾆﾔﾘ
