This app is great when it comes to game play but I've noticed quite a few bugs with the actual emulator and it's filesystem. For one thing you cannot store anything in your SD card, external storage only. But it can be personalised and plays well without glitches which is nice. I'd have given it four of five had I not lost all of my progress because of this file structure issue.
I remember downloading this emulator on a school PC in 2006. Im glad it was ported to Android. Also, thanks for fixing the storage issues on nougat!
Well, I'd really love to leave a decent review, but I am unable to even try it out. The first thing that happened as soon as I ran Jnes, an Error message popped up saying.. ...."java.lang.IllegalArgumentException:MALFORMED" along with a message saying it sent to your email. And when I press the Refresh button at the top, the same error pops up again. Second, I changed the file locations to SD card and whenever I try to load any ROM, it tells me "Current location is not writable" and wont load any game. I thought this SD card issue was fixed? I have a Verizon LG V20 running 7.0 Nougat. If you need extra info, let me know.
It read the ROM file I have but it wouldn't let me play the games in it why it's for Nintendo
Dear Jabo first of all Thank you so much for making Jnes available for Android. i guess it's been more than a decade since i am playing my favorite 8bit games on Jnes on windows (which is THE BEST 8bit Emulator for this category as the Graphics, Sound and the Controler have been programmed is simply superb ) i am sure that such kind of perfection i will experience in this Android version too in upcoming updates. Thank you once again.
