Tried a lot of double tap screen off app but all has that "flickering" during screen off which is very annoying if you are a perfectionist (haha). Luckily found this app, although I paid for the pro version for the flicker protection and some extra (nice) features -- which is worth it for me -- the double tap works for the whole screen without the use of a widget -- double tap works also in lockscreen *Pixel7A
