Mój Kredyt is an app for mortgage overpayments. It shows a single number: how much interest you'll no longer pay thanks to the overpayments you've actually made. Not a forecast, not a calculator simulation, but the result of your decisions to date.
WHO IS IT FOR? For people who are repaying a mortgage and overpaying, even by a few hundred złoty. If you keep an Excel spreadsheet of overpayments or access the overpayment calculator every month to see what's changed, this app does it for you and remembers the entire history.
HOW THE COUNTER WORKS
You enter your loan: remaining principal, interest rate, number of installments, and repayment date. You can start with today's balance from your bank or from the beginning of the loan, with the disbursement date and original amount. Then you add the overpayments. The counter on the main screen calculates immediately and shows how much interest has been removed from the repayment schedule. We calculate interest daily on the balance, just like a bank, so the result is close to what you see in the agreement.
SHORTENING THE PERIOD OR REDUCING THE INSTALLMENT
For each overpayment, you choose what the bank will do with it: shortening the loan period or lowering the installment. The app calculates both options correctly, even when you mix them. In the settings, you can set a default effect so you don't have to choose this one every time.
WHAT IF
Before you overpay, you can check what a specific amount will do: how much it will shorten the loan, how much the installment will drop, and how much interest you'll save. You can compare a one-time overpayment with a recurring one and see the difference after 2, 5, or 10 years. This section is marked as a forecast and doesn't get mixed up with the fact counter.
RECURRING OVERPAYMENTS AND BUDGET
You can set a fixed overpayment every month or a fixed budget for "installment plus overpayment." The app shows a plan for the future, and the counter only increases when the overpayment is met. A plan is a plan, facts are facts.
SECURE 2% LOAN
If you have a loan with a BGK subsidy, add the program to your loan. You'll see your net savings, which means after taking into account the subsidies, how many subsidies are left, and a warning when an overpayment could exceed the limit and cut your subsidies.
INTEREST RATE
Fixed, variable, or first fixed, then variable. When the bank changes the rate after the WIBOR update, you add the new rate from a specific date, and the History and counter are recalculated from that date. Equal and decreasing installments.
HISTORY
Every installment and overpayment in one place, starting from the most recent. You can see which installments have already been paid and how your balance has changed.
PRIVACY
The app doesn't connect to your bank and doesn't ask for login details. Everything is calculated on your phone. An account is optional: useful if you want to have the same data on two phones or not lose it when switching devices. Everything works without an account.
FREQUENTLY QUESTIONED
Is this a loan overpayment calculator?
The calculator is inside ("What if"), but the point is to count what you've already done. The browser calculator forgets the result after closing the page, while the app remembers the entire history.
Does the result match the bank's calculations to the penny?
The differences are usually in the order of a few złoty. Banks round and count days differently, but we use a single method for all: daily interest on the balance, a 365-day year. Treat the result as a good approximation, not as a document.
Do I have to enter the loan from scratch?
No. The easiest way is to enter today's balance and the number of outstanding payments from your bank. If you also want to see previous overpayments, enter the loan from scratch.
Does the app advise whether to overpay?
No. It displays the numbers; the decision is yours. This is not financial advice.
Which banks does it work with?
With all banks, because it doesn't connect with any. The loan math is the same with every bank.
Loan in euros or Swiss francs?
The currency is set for the loan, so yes.
