This app allows you to use your smartphone or tablet as an audio oscilloscope for easy visualization of sound waves picked up from your microphone.
Adjustments for controlling the scope's display area include vertical gain, trace position, trace brightness, time/div, sweep delay, skin color, sync triggering and more.
Audio signal input is through your device's microphone or microphone jack. Internal calibration signals are also provided.
There are eight audio equalization settings and these settings are device dependent. The settings include default, mic, speech, video, remote, voice, and priority. All settings may not work on all devices. On some devices, for example, the video setting will boost the gain using an AGC (automatic gain control) methodology. The voice setting might employ DRC (dynamic range compression) and have the affect of reducing background noise as well as normalizing signal level. Experiment with the various signal source settings to see how your device reacts.
This app will ask for and requires access to your microphone for the purpose of displaying audio signals on the screen.
