About this app

Compare HVAC quotes before you sign. Start a job, add each contractor's quote, and HomeCommand lines them up side by side: size, price per ton, efficiency, and where each price sits among real quotes other homeowners were given. It reads quotes for furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, mini-split, boiler and water heater replacement.

GET LEVEL WITH YOUR CONTRACTOR
Contractors have a name for lining bids up in the same rows: bid leveling. We do it for you, so "$13,950 vs $18,400" becomes a comparison of what each one actually includes.

READ ANY QUOTE OR ESTIMATE
Take a photo of a written quote, or open the PDF the contractor emailed. We read it and show you:
• Where the price sits among real quotes for similar jobs
• Whether it is itemized or one lump sum
• The system size on the proposal, and whether it says a load calculation (Manual J) was done
• What the proposal never mentions, such as the permit, disposal of the old unit or warranty registration
• Whether another homeowner was quoted for the same equipment, and which way their price went

THE LEVELING SHEET
Save every quote in a job as one landscape PDF to keep or print:
• Each part lined up across every bid, with the lowest marked
• A grid of what each proposal leaves out
• The questions to ask each contractor, as a checklist for the call

WHAT WE WON'T DO
We won't call a price fair or too high. A document can't tell anyone that. We show where your number lands among real ones and leave the decision with you. We never recommend a contractor and never sell your quote.

Photograph an appliance's nameplate and the make, model, serial number and size fill in for you. Keep your furnace, AC, water heater, plumbing, electrical, appliances and roof in one list, with warranty dates and service due dates.
