Status Saver lets you view, download, and share photos and videos
posted as WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business statuses — before they
disappear after 24 hours.

This app's core purpose is to help you save WhatsApp status media
(photos and videos) that appear in WhatsApp's status feed. Once
you open a status in WhatsApp, this app lets you save it to your
device gallery or share it instantly.

HOW TO USE

1. Open WhatsApp and view statuses from your contacts
2. Return to Status Saver and tap Refresh
3. Browse the photos and videos from your WhatsApp status feed
4. Tap any item to preview, then tap Download or Save

PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
──────────────────────────────
• Folder Access (Android 13 and above) — On first launch,
the app opens Android's built-in folder picker and asks
you to select WhatsApp's media folder. The app only reads
from that specific folder — it never accesses your photos
or videos broadly.

• Storage (Android 12 and below) — Required on older Android
versions to read WhatsApp's media folder.

• Notifications — Optional. Used only to alert you when new
WhatsApp statuses are available.

This app does NOT use Read Media Images, Read Media Videos,
or All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permissions.
Files are saved using Android's standard MediaStore API.

PRIVACY

Status Saver only accesses photos and videos from WhatsApp's
media folder already stored on your own device. No media or
personal data is uploaded to any server.
