The JDS Baler is a professional-grade agricultural tool designed to transform any standard hay baler into a smart, data-driven machine. By combining custom hardware with a robust, offline-first mobile interface, this system provides operators with real-time insights into crop quality, machine performance, and field productivity.
Core Functionality
The app serves as the central command center for your baling operation, divided into 3 primary modes:
JDS Moisture Reader: A high-visibility dashboard for live monitoring of crop moisture levels and PTO speed.
JDS Controller: A command interface for monitoring gate status, bale drops, and managing the knotting system.

1. Smart Moisture Monitoring
Live Analog Sensing: Real-time moisture percentage display with high-frequency sampling.
Crop Calibration: Specialized presets for Lucerne, Teff, Grass, and General crops to ensure accuracy across different forage types.
High-Moisture Alarms: Customizable audible sirens (including heavy industrial tones) that trigger when moisture exceeds safe baling limits.
2. Advanced Knotter Control
Dual-Mode Operation: Toggle between Auto Net and Auto Rope tying sequences.
Intelligent Automation: When set to Auto, the system detects the door trigger and initiates the tie sequence based on your precise second-run timers.
Manual Override: In manual mode, a large "Floating Action Button" appears only when the door is open, allowing the operator to trigger the tie sequence with a single tap.
Security-Locked Timers: Critical hardware runtimes for Net and Rope solenoids are protected by a security lock, preventing accidental changes to machine timing.
3. Offline Field Navigator (Universal Signal Support)
100% Offline Mapping: Designed for deep-field use where cellular signal is non-existent. The app uses a high-contrast agricultural grid to track your path.
Outline Hectare Calculation: A specialized "Perimeter Mode" allows you to drive the boundary of a field once to calculate the total area, ignoring skipped rows or internal maneuvers.
Blue-Pin Tracking: Real-time GPS visualization of the tractor’s position relative to the field boundary.
4. Machine Analytics & Logbook
PTO Hour Meter: Automatically tracks total working hours based on RPM activity (>30 RPM).
Bale Counters: Maintains both a Daily Session count and a Lifetime Total count.
Digital Logbook: Save every field session with a single tap. Logs include Date, Bale Count, Total Hectares, and Average Moisture.
