SmartBat is an advanced application for managing a home energy storage system based on Home Assistant.

⚡ BATTERY ALGORITHM v6.0:
SmartBat works with an intelligent battery management algorithm running on Home Assistant:
• SUMMER Mode (March–October): schedules charging based on the PV forecast and dynamic energy prices (Przyk)
• WINTER Mode (November–February): optimal grid charging times based on night-time tariffs
• Dynamic SELL/STORE: hourly algorithm decides whether to sell or store energy
• EMA Calibration: Automatic PV forecast correction based on actual production
• Weather correction: Open-Meteo API - cloud cover tomorrow corrects the PV forecast
• Max_price auto-correction: price threshold automatically adjusts to the 7d market average
• Safety SOC: battery over-discharge protection
• G12W tariff support: correct L1/L2 zones for SUMMER and WINTER
📲 PUSH NOTIFICATIONS (10 types):
• Critical SOC < 5% - emergency charging
• Low SOC < 15% - battery requires attention
• Charging from the grid has started
• Charging completed - SOC 100%
• Charging plan ready - new plan after 9:00 PM
• Negative prices - free energy
• PV recheck 04:05 - forecast verification
• PV recheck 07:05 - correction at PV start-up
• Inverter failure — no Modbus data
• Alert before L1 — 15 minutes before a higher tariff zone
📡 CONNECTION:
The app connects exclusively to the user's private Home Assistant server:
• Via local WiFi (fast connection at home)
• Via Tailscale VPN (secure remote access)
Supported inverters: Huawei SUN2000 with LUNA battery, as well as third-party inverters such as Deye.
Tariff: Snap (dynamic energy prices)

The app does not transmit any data to external servers. All data remains on the user's private server.
