SII Genius is a Speech Intelligibility Index calculator based on ANSI Standard S3.5. Users may enter any range of hearing thresholds in dB HL (with interpolation for absent values) to derive the Speech Intelligibility Index, or the percentage of speech that is audible to an individual.

SII Genius also allows input of environmental noise measurements to evaluate speech intelligibility in a given room or other environment. Noise levels may be entered as spectrum levels at 1/3 octave band center frequencies (ANSI standard default) or as 1/3 octave band levels, with automatic conversion to spectrum levels. Interpolation is applied when full 1/3 octave data are not available.

Entered data may be saved for later recall (patient name or other user-defined label), allowing efficient reuse of hearing threshold data without repeated entry.
