About this app

Anchor is a deep work timer and focus timer for people who would rather work than manage an app. Tap the orb. Work happens. Nothing else is required.

Set a length, tap the orb, and focus. Hold to end when you're done. No account, no ads, and your sessions, tasks and history stay on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a task, or just start.
2. Drag the orb to set how long, or tap to cycle your usual lengths.
3. Tap the orb and work. Hold to end.
That's the whole app. Everything else is there to show you what you did.

FOCUS TIMER, WITHOUT THE FUSS
• One orb, one tap. Works as a study timer or a work timer for any task.
• A calm session screen, and an ongoing notification so your session stays visible while you're in another app.
• An optional Do Not Disturb that is handed straight back when you finish.
• Honest endings. A session that's too short simply doesn't count, and nothing is lost.

SOUNDSCAPES AND SCENES
• Focus sounds that loop for as long as you work: rain, waves, or silence.
• More with Plus: café, brown noise, fireplace, night harbor and forest.
• Calm session scenes: Tide, Ring, Hearth and Plain. Plus adds Ripple, Constellation and Voyage.
• Change the sound, scene or Do Not Disturb mid-session, without breaking your focus.

A FLAT TO-DO LIST
• One list. No projects, no tags, no due dates.
• Tap a task to focus on it and see how long you've given it.
• A Logbook of everything you've finished, by the day.
• A home-screen widget to start your next session in one tap.

Does it need an account? No.
Does it work offline? Yes. Anchor only uses the network to manage your optional subscription.
Does it have ads? Never.
Is it a Pomodoro timer? No. You choose the length and there are no forced breaks.
