Stranger lets you discover strangers you've repeatedly encountered in your life but never truly known. People you've run into at the same cafe, train, or gym accumulate on your radar.
HOW IT WORKS
• Your location is infrequently sent to the server while the app is open. • The server finds the moments you were in the same place at the same time and counts them as encounters. • If you spend more than 6 hours a day with the same person, that day doesn't count — your roommates and workmates aren't strangers.
INFORMATION IS REVEALED GRADUALLY
• You'll see their name on the 3rd encounter.
• Your age, gender, and a brief profile on the 5th encounter.
• Messaging is enabled on the 7th encounter, if both parties wish.
PRIVACY
• No one's location is revealed. The radar places people based on the frequency of encounters, not their actual location. • Location data is deleted after 6 months. • You can block anyone and report inappropriate behavior. • Profile photos are automatically checked before uploading.
Stranger is not a dating app; it makes visible people whose paths have already crossed.
Some strangers are actually a part of your life.
