The app is okay, but could be better. Pros: The ads are for the most part unobtrusive. The full text of the book is included along with the text from the Bible reading for the day. And the extra stories are a bonus. Cons: Needs internet to work, will not work at all without it. UI is dated and needs a refresh. You have to select what month and day you want to read, even if you go into it every day it doesn't bring the current days reading up for you. Also, there are a few misspellings

Rating the app, not the content. Love the content. Until a week ago I clicked on my daily devotion and enjoyed my communication with Jesus. All of a sudden I could not view my daily devotion, had to reinstall the app, and it is not natural to navigate, more clicks to get to the devotional, and full of very annoying adds! Totally ruins the experience. Ugh. All about the money. Ugh!

I love this app! I've looked for a free Jesus Calling ebook or app over the years and was excited when I found this one. One of the reviews I read about the ads did create doubts. I'm not sure if there was some confusion with another similar app that I tried where the pop up ads were so bad I uninstalled it immediately but this lite version is perfect on-the-go, hassle free, barely any ads (no pop-ups), AND it includes the scriptures as well. I 100% recommend!
