Every day on my way to work, I do the same calculations.
"Which train do I need to catch? Then what time do I need to leave?"
Jigeumgo does that calculation for you.
Once you set where you need to arrive and by what time,
an alarm will go off at the time you need to leave home.
"Leave now — 9:31 train"
■ How to use it
1. Just set the destination and time
"Arriv at work by 10:00" — Select your departure and arrival points on the map
Set the arrival deadline.
The app fills in the nearest station and walking time. You can also adjust them manually.
2. The app calculates backwards
Find the train you need to take on the timetable
and work backwards to determine the time you need to leave home.
3. An alarm goes off at the time you leave
If you miss it, it also tells you how many minutes late you will be based on the next train.
Once you set it up, you just need to follow the alarm from then on.
■ Since it's an alarm app, let's make it a proper alarm
A departure alarm is meaningless if it doesn't ring.
That is why we put the most effort into the reliability of the alarm.
· It rings even in Silent or Do Not Disturb modes
· It displays in full screen over the lock screen
· The schedule is maintained even if the device is rebooted
· At least the default alarm sound rings in any failure situation
We created this by verifying each of the above situations on actual devices.
■ It shows you why it is this time
There is always a reason attached to the message "Leave now."
You can check which train you are taking and why it is this time right on the screen.
An alarm is only useful if you can trust and follow it.
■ Supported Routes
· Subway Lines 1–9, Shinbundang Line — all northbound and southbound sections
· Metropolitan Area Buses
· It also calculates transfer routes
■ Real-time Correction
Trains and buses do not run strictly according to timetables.
As the departure time approaches, it checks real-time arrival information
and adjusts the alarm time accordingly.
Since bus arrival times by stop are not publicly available,
we estimate generously based on dispatch intervals and narrow it down using real-time information.
■ In Calendar Schedules
It reads your device calendar and suggests, "Would you like to set an alarm for this schedule?"
You can check the schedule location on the map, edit it, and approve it.
Only approved schedules will become alarms. The schedule content does not leave the device.
Calendar permission is optional, and you can use the app as is even without granting it.
■ Even if the internet is disconnected
Since the timetable is stored in the app, the alarm will continue to ring even while on the subway.
Commuting schedules and settings are saved on the device.
■ For those who:
· Commute to the same place at the same time every day
· Find it cumbersome to check train times and calculate departure times
· Set an alarm but get confused every time about what time to actually leave
Jigeumgo is not an app that shows you more information.
We will tell you just one thing — Leave now.
Just decide where you will arrive and by when. The app will calculate and let you know what time you need to leave.
