About this app

Jiran is a private app for the people who share your building or compound. It is invite-only, so everyone inside is an actual neighbor. No strangers, no public feed, no ads.
Your building manager can send you a personal invite code, or you can request one yourself. Either way, you join your building, your compound, and your city, and everything stays inside them.
What you can do with Jiran:
🚨 Emergency: Need an electrician, a plumber, or just a hand fast? Send an emergency request and the skilled people who live around you can pick it up and come help.
💬 Chat: Message any neighbor privately, or talk to the whole building at once.
🚗 Car Plates: Someone blocking your car? Look up the plate and let the owner know to move it.
📢 Announcements: Share news with your building, your compound, or the whole city, and keep up with what others post.
🛒 Marketplace: Sell what you no longer need or buy from a neighbor. Homemade food is welcome too.
💼 Local Jobs: Post a small job you need done, or find quick work close to home.
🎓 Consultancy: Ask a question and hear back from professionals and neighbors who have been through it.
🎉 Events: Put together a gathering, or see what is happening around the building.
🔧 Services: Find skilled people who live nearby and are open to work.
🩸 Blood Donation: Put out an urgent call when someone needs blood, and step up when a neighbor does.
💵 Bills & Dues: See the bills and dues your building admin posts, and keep track of what you owe.
📹 Cameras: Check the building's live cameras where they are set up.
🚪 Gate: Let a visitor in without having to go down.
Because joining needs an invite, the community stays small, real, and private. Jiran is built for life in Lebanese buildings and compounds, and it works in both Arabic and English.
