About this app

◆ Source of government-related information ◆

This app accesses data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Japan Meteorological Agency. We obtain publicly available information from official government websites and display weather and tide information in an easy-to-read manner within the app.

"Weather, Wind and Waves" uses public data released by the Japan Meteorological Agency, and allows you to check weather maps, weather forecasts, coastal and open ocean wind and wave information, tide graphs, etc.
All information uses data released by the Japan Meteorological Agency.

You can set multiple points to check weather information. Setting is easy and can be done automatically by simply specifying a point from the map.
Point information can also be manually set, such as the target weather area, coastal location, tide point, etc.

Points are displayed in card format on the main screen, allowing you to check the latest forecast (weather, temperature, wind direction, wind speed) at a glance.
Cards can be color-coded into three colors.

Detailed information on the points that can be confirmed is as follows.

1. Live weather map and forecast weather map
2. High-resolution precipitation nowcast (movement of rain clouds and lightning)
3. Weather forecast every 3 hours
4. AMeDAS observation information (1,296 locations nationwide)
5. Actual wave charts and predicted wave charts for the coast and open ocean
6. Tide graph (239 locations nationwide)

You can see quite a lot of information on the Japan Meteorological Agency website, but this app organizes that information so that you can check it with simple operations.
In addition, by displaying information aggregated by location, you can quickly check the desired information.

As a request to the app, the app cannot do anything about the accuracy or frequency of data (for example, you want hourly data). This is because all data relies on the Japan Meteorological Agency website.

Because we use data from the Japan Meteorological Agency website, if the site configuration changes or the information is not updated, the app will not be able to display the data correctly.
