It corresponds to the Japan Meteorological Agency site renewal in February 2021.
You can check the movement of clouds and snowfall information in videos, actual weather information in AMeDAS observation values, etc.
"Weather, Wind, and Waves" uses public data published by the Japan Meteorological Agency, allowing you to check weather charts, weather forecasts, coastal and open ocean wind and wave information, tide graphs, and more.
All information is based on data released by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
You can set multiple points to check the weather information. Setting is easy and can be set automatically just by specifying a point from the map.
Point information can also be manually set for target weather areas, coastal locations, tide points, etc.
Points are displayed in a card format on the main screen, and the latest forecast (weather, temperature, wind direction, wind speed) can be checked at a glance.
Cards can be color coded into 3 colors.
The details of the points that can be confirmed are as follows.
1. Actual weather charts and forecast weather charts
2. High resolution precipitation nowcast (movement of rain clouds and lightning)
3. Weather forecast every 3 hours
4. AMeDAS observation information (1,296 locations nationwide)
5. Coastal and open sea actual wave charts and expected wave charts
6. Tide graph (239 locations nationwide)
You can see quite a lot of information on the Japan Meteorological Agency site, but this app organizes that information so that you can check it with a simple operation.
In addition, you can quickly check the desired information by displaying the information aggregated by location.
As a request to the app, the accuracy and frequency of data (for example, I want data every hour) cannot be done by the app. All data is dependent on the Japan Meteorological Agency site.
If you would like to make such a request, please go directly to the Meteorological Agency website, which has an "Opinions and Impressions" page.
Japan Meteorological Agency "Opinions and Impressions" Page
Since we use data from the Japan Meteorological Agency site, if the site structure changes or the information is not updated, the app will not be able to display the data correctly.
If you report these, we will try to respond as soon as possible.
