It also provides a "Mountain Climbing Index" that indicates the comfort of mountain climbing, and is widely used by mountain climbers.

The mountain climbing index uses meteorological knowledge to express the comfort of mountain climbing based on weather conditions at the summit and base of the mountain. It is a unique calculation of weather conditions that comprehensively takes into account precipitation, wind speed, cloud cover, and other factors.
Please note that the weather near the summit may differ from that near the base.
The Mountain Climbing Index does not include information on volcanic eruptions. For more information on volcanic information, please click here.
Index A: Suitable for hiking.
Index B: Strong winds or rain, somewhat unsuitable for hiking.
Index C: Strong winds or rain, unsuitable for hiking.
You can also view weather forecasts for various tourist spots and golf courses, as well as the latest disaster prevention information (typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis).
