River Conditions is the app for those of you who fish in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Scottish rivers.

Get a quick overview of rivers, water flow, weather, tides, fishing licenses, salmon exchanges, catches and useful map points – all in one place.

With River Conditions you can search for rivers and see them directly on the map. For Norwegian rivers you can retrieve water flow statistics based on data from, among others, NVE/Sildre. The app also shows information from relevant external sources such as Yr, the Norwegian Mapping Authority, the Norwegian Coastal Administration, NINA, the Salmon Register, Inatur and other open or public data sources where this is available.

In the app you can, among other things:

• Search for rivers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Scotland
• View rivers, map points and useful locations on the map
• Retrieve water flow statistics for Norway, Sweden and Scotland
• Find fishing licenses and salmon exchanges from inatur.no
• View tide information for all of Norway
• Follow precipitation and weather data from yr.no
• View status and information from the Salmon Register
• Explore underwater videos and live streams from cameras in Norway
• View photos uploaded by users
• Find parking lots, fishing spots, fishing equipment stores, disinfection locations, accommodation, shelters and other useful places
• Register and keep track of your own catches
• Keep track of upcoming fishing licenses
• Create and share map points with other users

Data sources and disclaimer:

River conditions is an independent app and does not represent any public authority, municipality, state agency or public service. The app is not officially affiliated with, approved by or operated by NVE, Yr/MET Norway, the Norwegian Mapping Authority, the Norwegian Coastal Administration, NINA, the Salmon Register, Inatur or other external data providers.

Data in the app is largely obtained from external sources and APIs, including:

• NVE/Sildre – water flow, water level and hydrological data
• Yr/MET Norway – weather data and weather forecast
• Kartverket – map data and geographical information
• Kystverket/Kartverket – tidal information where available
• Salmon Register – information on watercourses and stock status
• NINA/Vitenskapsrådet – stock information and spawning fish counts where available
• Inatur – fishing licenses, salmon exchange and catch data where available
• Other open, public or user-based data sources

The information in Elveforhold may contain errors, delays or omissions. The user is responsible for checking important information against the original sources before making decisions, for example when purchasing a fishing license, assessing water flow, traffic, safety or regulations.
