About NCB Pay

NCB Pay is a digital wallet, that gives you the power to make secure virtual payments using select Android smartphones. Link your existing NCB credit card or prepaid card to the NCB Pay digital wallet and enjoy easy contactless payments at any Point-of-sale (POS) Terminal worldwide.

To ensure compatibility, make sure your mobile device has Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities and is activated.

How to get started:

· Check to see if your Android device is NFC compatible.

· Install and launch the app

· Create a four (4) digit PIN and register with your NCB online banking credentials. If you are not yet registered for online banking, you will be sent a one-time password to authenticate your account

· Follow the on-screen instructions to add your NCB cards to the wallet

· And that’s it! You will be able to breeze through check-out lines with a tap of your phone.

How to use NCB Pay:

Shopping with NCB Pay is contactless. Just tap your android smartphone at compatible POS terminals or wave your phone within 4-10 cm of the POS terminal to complete your transaction – fast, easy, and safe!

August 2023: Good while it lasted. After resetting my PIN the app reports "Sorry can't get your cards right now, Code 90" and customer service has been useless in trying to resolve it. App is a waste of time - too much too soon for NCB. #uninstall Update Feb 14, 2024: Still not working. Waste of time. NCB apparently has no QA system or effective PM team to take note of, and resolve the issue. Permanent Uninstall. July 2024, I resolved the issue myself. I figured out a loophole in their system.

Well apparently the app only supports NCB's credit cards and not their Visa debit cards. I've been trying to login to this app for about 3 days now and all I kept getting was a message advising me that there was an unexpected error. It would have been nice if the adverts in the NCB online banking apps mentioned that this new NCB pay app was for credit cards only.

It's been a great emergency option in the event I've left my card. It works really well. 8/10 places support NCB pay based on my assessment. A great addition would be including a watch (wear os) companion app, it's not very hard, and would complete the contact less experience.
