We respectfully appeal this rejection. SilentCall was PREVIOUSLY APPROVED on Google Play with the Device Automation use case and identical permissions (READ_CALL_LOG, WRITE_CALL_LOG). No permissions have been added or changed in this update.
DEVICE AUTOMATION FUNCTIONALITY:
SilentCall is a rule-based device automation tool for call management. Users configure automation rules and triggers once; the app executes all matching actions automatically in the background:
1. Auto-Reject: Incoming calls matching configured rules are automatically silenced and rejected via CallScreeningService.
2. Auto-Delete Call Logs (WRITE_CALL_LOG): After a call is handled by a rule, the corresponding call log entry is automatically deleted. This is essential because Samsung One UI ignores setSkipCallLog(true). WRITE_CALL_LOG is used exclusively for deletion — never for creating records. This feature is user-toggleable.
3. Auto-Dismiss Notifications: Missed call notifications from handled calls are automatically cleared.
4. Auto-Escalation: Configurable repeat-call threshold triggers automatic blocking of all non-whitelisted calls.
All 4 automations follow the Device Automation pattern: pre-configured rules → event trigger → automatic execution without user intervention.
READ_CALL_LOG enables users to select numbers from call history when configuring automation rules — the primary rule setup interface.
PRIOR APPROVAL: This app was approved with these exact permissions and this Device Automation functionality. The update contains no permission changes. We request consistent evaluation with the prior approval.
All data is processed on-device only. No data transmitted externally.
Spam Blocked calls leave no trace in your call log, and the caller won’t know.
