GuardianBox is your personal black box for security and emergencies, designed to work even when the internet goes down. It's not just another monitoring app: it's a system designed for real risks, focusing on privacy, autonomy, and communication when you need it most.

🚨 Panic Button
With a single tap and confirmation, GuardianBox obtains your location, records the event in your local history, and prepares an alert with your position to send to your emergency contacts. You decide when it's sent, without any intrusive background permissions.

🗺️ Proprietary Offline Map
GuardianBox doesn't rely on Google Maps. It uses a map engine based on OpenStreetMap that you can download by province and then use without any internet connection—ideal for rural areas, travel, or extended service outages.

🌐 Emergency Mesh
When the internet connection is lost, nearby GuardianBox devices can communicate with each other, forming a local mesh. This allows emergency alerts to spread from device to device even without a data network available.

🔒 Anti-theft Protection
If your device is stolen or lost, GuardianBox allows remote locking, alerts you to unauthorized SIM card changes, and detects repeated failed unlock attempts, helping you react faster.

⚡ Real-time Information for Your Area
- Power Outages: A map built with anonymous reports aggregated by the GuardianBox user community.

- Air Quality: Pollution levels in your current location.

- Air Traffic: Nearby aircraft detected via ADS-B transmission.

- Seismic Activity: Alerts for globally relevant earthquakes, using USGS data.

📡 Survival Mode
When GuardianBox detects a loss of internet connection, it automatically switches to local monitoring mode: it continues to function, prioritizes battery saving, and uses the emergency network as an alternative communication channel, without relying on external servers.

🧭 Additional Sensors
GuardianBox can use the device's magnetic sensor (if available) to help detect interference or tampering near the device. If your device does not have this sensor, the app will continue to function normally.

🔋 No Ads, No Data Sales
GuardianBox does not display ads or sell your information. We are not looking to monetize your attention: the goal of this app is to help you in real or potential risk situations, not to generate advertising revenue.

📶 Designed to Work Offline
Many of GuardianBox's features—offline map, emergency network, survival mode, event log—are specifically designed to remain useful even without a data or Wi-Fi signal.

GuardianBox is an independent project, developed by the joeDEV team, and is constantly evolving. It does not replace official emergency services; it is a complementary tool designed to give you more information, more autonomy, and more ways to ask for help when things get complicated.
