About this app

The Cloud is Dead. Your Speakers Live On.

Controller Pro is the ultimate, cloud-independent smart home app designed specifically for your legacy SoundTouch speakers. As official cloud servers shut down and become unreachable, Controller Pro steps in to save your premium hardware from becoming e-waste. We communicate directly with your speakers over your local Wi-Fi network—no accounts, no cloud dependencies, and zero lag.

⚠️ IMPORTANT TRANSPARENCY NOTE:
Due to the permanent shutdown of Bose's servers, the speaker hardware can no longer play Amazon or live radio on its own. Our built-in Web Radio feature requires a Bluetooth connection to your speaker. The app fetches the station to your phone and casts the audio over. All other features (Volume, Grouping, NAS, Spotify) still work flawlessly over your Wi-Fi!

✨ KEY FEATURES:

⚡ Lightning-Fast Local Wi-Fi Control: Bypass sluggish cloud servers for instant volume adjustment, grouping, and source switching via our custom "Anti-Jam" network protocol.

🗄️ Local NAS & Media Streaming: Seamlessly browse and play music from your existing local network DLNA/UPnP media servers and PC libraries directly through your speakers.

📻 Built-In Web Tuner: Continue listening to global internet radio directly through the app (via Bluetooth), entirely bypassing broken native TuneIn integrations.

💾 Hardware Presets & Recents: Map your favorite local NAS folders or albums directly to the physical 1-6 buttons on top of your speaker. (Note: Due to hardware limits, physical buttons only support local NAS media, not web radio).

👯 Stereo Pair Support: Full native control compatibility for speakers (like ST-10s) that have already been bound into dedicated Left and Right audio channels.

🎛️ The Pro Zone Mixer: Flawless multi-room audio. Group your speakers (ST10, ST20, ST30s and Soundbars) and sync relative volume levels across your entire home instantly.

📸 Multi-Room Snapshots (Scenes): Capture the exact state of your home's audio set-up and deploy it later with a single tap.

⚙️ Deep Hardware Controls: Dynamically adjust Bass, Auto-Off standby timers, and OLED clock settings (ST20/ST30) using true Read-Modify-Write hardware commands.

🎵 Smart Spotify Handoff: Launch directly into your last-played Spotify Connect session with a single tap.

Future-Proof Your Audio.
Whether you own a SoundTouch 10, 20, 30, or a Soundbar, Controller Pro ensures your premium audio ecosystem remains fast, reliable, and entirely under your control.

(Note: This app is an independent, community-driven project and is not affiliated with Bose Corporation. Requires your speakers to be on the same local Wi-Fi network as your phone/tablet).

Thank you. Great little app. All seems to work well. Adding IP address wasn't that easy, but once I logged into my router to find it and added it all sprang to life. If I can make suggestions for improvements it would be perfect. -More preset options please, can you add another page maybe? -Better instructions for new users on how to set up. -Is there anyway to fix the physical presets on the device itself, or is this because of the Bose servers no longer connecting?

Thank you for 5 stars! I will add your suggestions on to my list and look at it when i return to the 'workbench'. The easiest way to find the IP addresses of SoundTouch speakers can be found in the Bose App: Setting - About - select speaker to find IP address.

It does work in the sense that it decodes the stream on your phone or tablet and then casts it via Bluetooth to your soundtocuh radio. The downside is that you need to keep your phone powered on and can't do other audio with it at the same time, so it does not allow the sound touch radio to play streams "by itself"

Thank you for your Feedback. Because Bose blocked direct radio streaming, using the phone as a bridge is the only way to keep internet radio working. However, Spotify and NAS drives do stream directly to the hardware without using your phone's audio. Happy to refund you if it does not meet your requirements.

flakey connection, doesn't see my sound touch 20 on the same network. I once got it to connect but only allowed me to assign stations to the buttons on the app not the soundtouch. Spotify sees my speaker straight away. this doesn't work. tried everything . still won't see my speaker, but I can play Spotify. can I get a refund please.. your app does nothing

Hi G, sorry for the hassle! I'll happily refund you—just email your order number to the.app.guy2026@gmail.com. Android 15's strict security blocked the scanner, but we just fixed this in today's v7.9.5 update! Note: Bose shut down their servers on May 6th, so physical preset buttons cannot fetch web radio anymore. Email me for the refund!
