this is so frustrating. You have to hold down the button and wait for the phone to connect, and it beeps twice, but then it loses the connection. meanwhile in the app, once you say you are connected there is no way to log out or otherwise try again, none of the buttons work and you have to uninstall and try again which doesn't work. I do computer apps for a living, this is basic stuff and horrible UI. what regional vp at Johnson's allowed this to happen? this can be fixed for under $10k.

Gets the job done, lacks some features, slow to re-link. If you just don't have your ipilot remote, this is a great backup. If you run into something while your phone is off, you're in trouble. After you turn your phone back on, it takes a couple seconds before it links back up & let's you control the motor. I really wish it let you use some of the more advanced features, like following a track back. Would REALLY be neat if.it could let you use the.phome as a Humminbird substitute.

I have the Riptide Terrova 55# 12v. It took me a minute to figure out the pairing...it kept coming back with "Invalid PIN". I found that if you hold the pairing button on the motor while connecting to the mobile app, it will pair. The existing functions on the app work fine: Prop On/Off; Steer L/R; Auto Pilot; Spot Lock. The Rabbit (full speed) didn't seem to work, but is spotty on my actual remote as well so maybe a motor software update is needed. All this being said, I am disappointed that the other functions of I-Pilot are not in the app. This app only has the functionality of the micro remote (which are just the basic motor controls). Hopefully someday they will include the other functions like course recording, return to saved spot, etc. that are available on the 'big' I-Pilot remote.
