How do I keep the data on my phone from being overwritten when an update occurs? Why can't the new version simply overlay on the phone but keep the file data intact? I went to my phone the other day for data, and found that the new B-Folders was there - without the data that I needed at that moment in time. I will look for another option besides B-Folders. I don't want that to happen again.
I wish developers would be more specific than just "bug fixes" updates.. makes me wonder if any of my data was breached or got lost and if this version isnt just as buggy.. I'm real quick to update based on things like added translations, or new features, etc.. bug fixes I have to hesitate and consider uninstalling because it was obviously put on the market with bugs in it..
Great app! Has so many great features. Additional features I wish it had was ability to archive in a seamless way once items are checked without deleting/ some assurance against vendor lock-in that is, if the product ever stops being developed I can export the data and not be locked into a product that is no longer being developed or supported or if I find a better solution that I can export. This is possible with open source solutions. Would be great if b-folders had some sort of open source platform or if at least underlying database was open source...perhaps these things are in place and I'm not aware....
I have everything in there! Credit cards, bank accounts, memberships, and myriad of lists and personal info. I love knowing that it's encrypted and local only with no Internet exposure. I got my wife to use it, and have it installed on Win10, Ubuntu 16, Macbook Pro, and Chromebook.
Running this on my phone, my tablet, and 3 different desktops with the Windows version for years. Absolutely could not function without it, and, so long as it is an Android-only solution, I'm not likely to look at any other mobile OS.
Worked for three years on Mac, used V3, V4, & now V5. With OSX 10.11 it crashed regularly. Communication with Joint-logic rather condescending. Downgrade to OSX 10.10 advised! All other software was adapted before OSX upgrade by the developers. The B-Folders framework that is used, is not OSX 10.11 compatible. Unlike other software developers, preparation was not done to test underlying framework for compatibility. Crash with Bckup and Export still in V5 on MacOS 10.12.3, as with V4. Wonderfully problems dissapeared when additional "Utilty pack" was purchased!
