About this app

Usuals is the digital stamp card for coffee bars, cafes, bakeries, barbers, nail studios, salons and other small businesses with regulars. Your customers scan a QR code and have your loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet right away, without downloading an app. With this app you scan that card at the counter, design your stamp card and stay in touch with your regulars through messages on the card.

The app is for business owners and their staff with a Usuals account, which you create at joinusuals.com.

Scanning at the counter
• Point the camera at the QR code on the loyalty card and give a stamp in one tap.
• When the reward is ready, you redeem it in one tap too.
• Camera not working? Type the code below the QR code instead.
• Usuals watches for double stamps. Within the waiting time you set for your card, the same card does not get a second stamp.
• A new customer? Show the QR code of your card on your screen. They scan it and have the card in their Wallet right away.

Works without signal
• No connection? You can still record the scan. The app sends it as soon as you are back online, and a scan never counts twice.

Designing your stamp card
• Choose a stamp card or a points card, how many stamps or points it takes and what the reward is, like a coffee.
• Give new customers up to 3 starter stamps, so their card is already a little full.
• Pick your logo, a style that fits your brand and an image for the stamps. Usuals can also take your logo and brand style from your own website.
• You see right away how your card looks in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Changes reach your customers' cards within a minute.
• Add your locations. When a customer is nearby, their Wallet can show your card on the lock screen with your text.
• Share your sign-up link, or open a poster with your QR code to put up at the counter.

Your customers
• Find a customer by first name or email, or look at a group: active, near reward, at risk or lost.
• For each customer you see their balance, visits, rewards and a timeline of everything that happened.
• Forgot to scan? As the owner you correct the balance, with a reason only you and your team can see.

Your day and your weeks
• The Today screen shows your scans, stamps, new customers and redeemed rewards, and what just happened.
• Reports show visits, new and returning customers and rewards over 12 weeks, compared with the weeks before.

Messages on the card
• Send your customers a short message. It shows up as a notification on their lock screen and stays on the back of the card.
• Choose the group, see beforehand how many customers you reach, and send it now or schedule it.
• Automatic messages: a welcome when someone signs up, a message on their birthday and a nudge for customers who have not been in for a while, with an extra stamp on their next visit.
• The assistant sums up your week every Monday, shows who you can win back and suggests a message. Nothing is sent without your confirmation. The assistant only gets numbers, no names.
• Only customers who gave permission get your messages. Which features you have, like messages and the assistant, depends on your business's plan.

For your whole team
• Staff sign in with their own account and see the scanner, Today and the customers. Owners see everything. You invite your team from the app.
• Does your business have several locations? Choose the location, so you can see later where each stamp was given.

• In Dutch and English, with a light and a dark look.
• The app only uses the camera to read QR codes. Camera images are not stored.

So you run your own loyalty program for your regulars: a digital punch card nobody loses, without paper cards and without extra hardware at the counter.
