About this app

Fileio is a local document management app that lets you import files into the app, organize them, preview supported documents and images, scan paper documents to PDF, and access supported files from Google Drive or Dropbox.

FILE MANAGEMENT

• Import files using the Android system document picker
• Import images from your photo library
• Browse files stored in Fileio
• Search files by name
• Filter files by file type
• Sort files by date, name, size, or format
• Rename, share, favorite, and delete local files
• Select and delete multiple files
• Quickly reopen favorite and recently viewed files

DOCUMENT VIEWING

Fileio provides in-app previews for supported formats:

• PDF
• DOC and DOCX
• XLS and XLSX
• JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, HEIC, BMP, and other supported image formats

Word documents are converted for viewing inside the app. Complex formatting may not appear exactly as it does in the original document.

Excel files are displayed as scrollable worksheets. Fileio does not edit spreadsheets, calculate formulas, or render charts.

PPT and PPTX files can be imported and listed, but local PowerPoint preview is not currently supported.

PDF SCANNER

• Capture a paper document using your camera
• Review or retake the captured image
• Save the scan as a single-page PDF
• Add the PDF to your Fileio library
• Share the generated PDF using the system share menu

Automatic edge detection, perspective correction, OCR, and multi-page scanning are not currently supported.

CLOUD FILE ACCESS WITH FILEIO PRO

Fileio Pro lets you connect Google Drive and Dropbox.

You can:

• Browse cloud folders
• View file names and sizes
• Download supported files temporarily
• Open downloaded files using Fileio’s supported viewers
• Disconnect your cloud account at any time

Google Drive access uses read-only permission. Fileio does not upload, edit, rename, move, or delete files stored in Google Drive or Dropbox.

Google Docs and Google Sheets files may be exported into supported document formats before they are opened. Google Slides files are exported as PPTX, but local PPTX preview is not currently supported.

Cloud file access requires an active Fileio Pro subscription.

LOCAL DATA AND STORAGE

Imported files are stored inside Fileio’s app storage on your device. Cloud files opened through Fileio are downloaded temporarily to the app cache.

Fileio does not provide its own cloud storage service and does not synchronize local files between devices.
