ChargeTruth was created to end this feeling of being "tricked."

👨‍💻 Developer's words: Why did I make this app?

Hi, I'm Josh. By day, I'm an asset project manager at a multinational company, accustomed to managing projects with rigorous data and frameworks; but after work, I'm just an electric scooter owner fed up with inaccurate information and being frequently "stood up" by charging stations.

Because there isn't an app on the market that truly solves the "trust" problem, I decided to make one myself. To be honest, I didn't know how to program before. This is an "atypical" development story—I started learning development on my own to solve this real pain point. Therefore, the current app's functions may not be very sophisticated, and it may even have some flaws, but it is definitely an "evolving" organism.

I sincerely invite you to join this project. This system needs more than just code; it needs passionate car owners like you. Every use and feedback you give helps me improve this system, and together we can make this map even more perfect.

🔍 An Honest Explanation Regarding the Number of Map Sites

The current version's charging station data is 100% sourced from the "Ministry of Transportation's TDX Official Platform." You may notice that we have fewer sites than some competitors. This is because we insist on starting from the **"officially managed, publicly accessible"** list, prioritizing the exclusion of private communities or poorly labeled "ghost sites." We'd rather have fewer sites than have you navigate to a private parking space you can't even enter.

Of course, our map coverage won't stop there. We will continuously verify other reliable data sources, promising to gradually add only rigorously vetted and certified trustworthy sites to the map to ensure that the information provided to everyone is always accurate and usable.

1. 🛡️ Exclusive "Trust Index": Traffic Lights on the Map We not only display official data but also combine it with real-time algorithms. The markers on the map directly tell you the truth with color, allowing you to make a decision at a glance:

🟢 Green: Highly trustworthy, proceed with confidence.

🟡 Yellow/Orange: Some issues recently, please check details.

🔴 Red: High risk! Possibly out of service or frequently occupied, please avoid.

⚪ Gray: Data vacuum zone, waiting for you, the pioneer, to explore and report!

2. ⚡ Instant Reporting, Immediate Results No complicated procedures required, simple 3 steps to report on-site conditions (gas truck blocking space, equipment malfunction, slow charging speed). Best of all? Your influence is instant! The moment a reward is submitted, the site's "Trust Index" will update immediately. You'll see the map colors change because of your contribution, directly helping the next driver avoid potential problems.

3. 📍 Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli Initial Public Beta: We've chosen to start with Hsinchu Science Park (and Taoyuan and Miaoli), Taiwan's technology hub, to focus our efforts on verifying data quality.

4. 🏆 Founder Challenge (until 2026/03/30): This is a battle for early adopters. The top 100 users with the most correct rewards before the deadline will receive a permanent "Founder Challenge" title and special badge within the app. This honor will be permanently recorded in ChargeTruth's history.
