About this app

JournaLock is a local-first, tamper-evident encrypted journal for inventors, attorneys, executives, and anyone who needs records that hold up when it matters.

Your vault lives on your device. Core journaling does not require a JournaLock cloud account. You create a local PIN on first launch to protect your vault—that unlock step is part of the product, not a shared demo password.

DESIGNED FOR SERIOUS RECORDS
JournaLock is built for privacy and integrity—not ads or social feeds. Biometric unlock uses your device operating system (for example fingerprint or face unlock where available). Biometric data stays with the OS; JournaLock does not receive your biometric templates.

FREE STARTER
Starter includes local encrypted vault features for everyday journaling and basic unlock. It is permanently free and is not a countdown trial. Advanced options (such as certain certification, media, voice, or cloud-related capabilities) may require an optional paid plan.

OPTIONAL PAID FEATURES
Paid plans, when offered, open Stripe Checkout in a secure browser window. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored inside JournaLock as card numbers. You can use the free tier without purchasing.

OPTIONAL CLOUD
Cloud backup and related sync features are optional. When enabled, they use configuration you control or platform-mediated services described in the app and privacy policy. Journal content is not harvested for advertising.
