About this app

JoyChat is a location-based social chat app that allows you to chat casually with people nearby and, if you click, move on to a 1:1 chat. (Available for ages 19 and up)

■ Features

▶ Chat

Send a message or photo you want to share today via Chat. You can view messages from people nearby along with their distance, and immediately check the profile of the person who sent a message you like. Only one message is maintained per person, and the previous message is automatically updated when you write a new one.

▶ Friends

Browse people near you by distance or online status. You can see their nickname, gender, age, and a one-line introduction, along with their approximate distance (e.g., 850m, 1.2km) and last online time.

▶ 1:1 Chat

Send a conversation request to someone you like to start a 1:1 chat. You can exchange text as well as photos, and new messages arrive in real-time. You can check the last message and the number of unread messages at a glance in the chat list, and tap photos to view them in a larger size.

▶ Profile

Introduce yourself with your nickname, gender, age, introduction, and profile picture. You can edit this at any time on the My screen.

▶ Notifications

Receive notifications for new chats and new Talks nearby. You can turn chat notifications and Talk notifications on and off in the notification settings. Notifications for a specific chat will not appear while you are viewing the chat room.

■ Point Information

· 100P is used when you send a conversation request to a new person. Points are not used when re-entering a chat room that is already open.

· You receive 100P for free the first Talk you write each day.

· Points can be topped up within the app. (1,000P / 5,500P / 11,500P; bonus points are awarded based on the top-up amount)

· You can check your top-up and usage history on the Point Top-up screen.

■ Use Safely

· Only those aged 19 or older can sign up. Mobile phone text verification is required upon registration.

· You can report uncomfortable contacts at any time via Profile, Talk, or Chat. · With blocked users, neither party's Talk messages nor profiles are visible, and chat requests cannot be sent.

· Only the approximate distance is displayed, not the exact location of the other party.

· Do not send personal information or money to people you meet online. Please be mindful of your safety when meeting offline.

· Acts targeting children or adolescents, sexual exploitation, illegal filming, fraud, or soliciting money are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in permanent account restrictions and legal reporting measures.

■ App Access Permission Guide

· Location (Optional): Used to find nearby people and display distances. If you do not allow this, some features, such as distance display, will be restricted.

· Photos/Camera (Optional): Used to upload photos to your profile, Talk, or chat.

· Notifications (Optional): Used to receive notifications for new chats and Talk messages.

Even if you do not allow optional permissions, you can still use services other than those specific features.
