About this app

JoyRemote (Joy Remote) puts your other computer on your phone's screen. See it, tap to click, scroll, zoom in and type, as if you were sitting in front of it.

ON YOUR OWN WI-FI
Computers running JoyRemote on the same network show up in the app by name. Tap one to connect. Nothing goes through the internet, and it is never counted or charged.

FROM ANYWHERE
Every computer has a ten-digit number. Type it in the app to reach that computer from another network, a hotel or mobile data. Whenever the networks allow it, the two devices talk to each other directly. When they don't, JoyRemote relays the connection, encrypted, and cannot read it.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT A YES
Every connection has to be approved by the person at the computer, on that computer's own screen, unless they have chosen to remember your device. The device asking to connect can never approve itself.

LET YOUR OTHER DEVICES SEE THIS PHONE
Turn on "Let others ask to see this screen" and your computer, or another phone, can ask to watch this phone's screen. It is view only: they can look but not tap or type.
- Each request shows who is asking, and you decide with Continue or Deny.
- Android then asks its own "Start recording or casting" question. Nothing is captured before both.
- A notification shows for as long as the feature is on, with Stop and Turn off buttons.
- One watcher at a time, and it turns itself off after five minutes with nobody watching.

WHAT YOU NEED
JoyRemote installed on the computer you want to use. It runs on Windows, macOS, Ubuntu and Fedora. Download it from joyremote.com.

PRICING
- On the same Wi-Fi: free, with no limit and every feature included. Advanced features added in the future may cost extra, on the same Wi-Fi too; what you have today stays free.
- Over the internet: the first 1.5 hours are free for this phone. After that, one in-app purchase covers this phone for as long as the service runs. It is not a subscription.
- Relay, only needed on networks that block direct connections: the first 15 minutes are free, and more can be bought in blocks of five hours.
Payments are made through Google Play.

PRIVACY
No ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app's own log stays on the phone. Read the privacy policy at joyremote.com/privacy.

We will never phone you or ask you to let us connect to your computer. Anybody who does is not JoyRemote.
