I've had my light strings and a kaleidoscope for about 6 years and have had very few issues. The connectivity isn't difficult as the instructions are pretty clear. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the lack of updates. Lots of new app-operated lights on the market today with customizable features. I'd like to choose a color combo not preset in the app.

I've had these for ages and I'm very glad they updated the app so each set gets its own password. I had trouble connecting and thought it was strange they wanted location - guess it uses it to communicate with the lights. Took me a while to figure out that you need to allow it to access. Still works with my lights, 3 new phones later, after maybe 6 years.

This app worked so well last year. This year it won't find my light at all. I've installed and reinstalled it, tried several devices, nothing. We've resorted to just plugging and unplugging the light every night which is a pain. This light was expensive, even after finding it on sale after Christmas last night. And because we cannot use the smart features, the light only rotates between colors although it has 61 options. 😑😑😑
