About this app

Your watch has a flashlight buried a few taps deep, and a wallet you have to go and find. Flashpay puts both on a button.

A FLASHLIGHT WITH ACTUAL CONTROLS

The screen becomes the light, and the face splits into four controls big enough to hit in the dark without looking:

• WALLET — leave the light and open your wallet app
• COLOR — white, or red to keep your night vision
• BRIGHT — five brightness steps
• TIMER — 30 seconds, 1, 2, 4 or 5 minutes before the light switches itself off

Tapping the timer restarts the countdown from whichever duration you land on, so you can extend the light without leaving it. Your colour, brightness and timer choices are remembered, and the light comes back the way you left it.

ONE PRESS, NO MENUS

Bind Flashpay to a hardware button and it decides for you: in the dark it opens the flashlight, in daylight it opens your wallet app. There is no launcher screen, no scrolling and no splash screen — it acts on the frame it opens, which is the whole reason it exists.

Got the wrong one? Press again within three seconds and it switches to the other.

SETTING IT UP

• Galaxy Watch 4/5/6 — Settings → Advanced → Customize button → Double press → "Flashpay Instant"
• TicWatch Pro 3/5 — press the recent-apps button and choose Flashpay when you are prompted

Tapping the app icon instead opens a small menu, so you can reach the flashlight or your wallet without binding anything at all.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT

The shortcut opens the Google Wallet app if you have it installed. Flashpay is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. It does not process payments, store cards, or see anything about them — it only asks Android to open the app, exactly as tapping its icon would.

PRIVACY

No network access. No account. No analytics. No data collected, ever. The app holds a single permission — vibration — for the tap you feel when the shortcut fires.

REQUIREMENTS

Wear OS 2 or newer. Standalone: it runs entirely on the watch and needs no phone app.
