Improperly billed for full membership- I contacted Just Answer via the web about an issue with my phone lagging. While on the call, I agreed to a one time, $5 per question fee. When checking my bank statement, I saw that I was charged for a $70 per month membership that I never agreed to. Be wary of dishonest business practices. Also, my phone still lags, so the consultation didn't help.

BE CAREFUL! The website says in fine print on the payment page that they'll charge you the $5 sign up fee (which is advertised everywhere) + a $65 subscription fee billed up front. The AI agent you talk to at the beginning deliberately hides the full charge, even when asked explicitly. I used a different email to test it out after I fell for it with my main account and the AI agent wouldn't say the full charge at all. The "expert" uses blatant AI responses that were not helpful at all.

I received excellent legal advice fast, but the payment process was a bit deceptive. I clearly signed up for one question answered which was $5. After it was over a $5 and a $51 charge showed up. Went back to my account page and I've been signed up for the unlimited questions automatically billed each month for $51. It's possible I missed some small print but I read everything before using my card. After contacting them they politely stated a credit would be applied. I hope so
