About this app

Nitrox Calculator does the published gas-mixture arithmetic for enriched-air (nitrox) diving - MOD, EAD, best mix, and cylinder blending, shown with the formula on screen.

This is a gas-mixture calculator, not a decompression planner or dive computer. It implements no tissue/compartment model, no no-decompression-limit table, and no dive-plan or ascent schedule - it answers what a gas mix does at a depth, never how long you can stay down or how to ascend. Enriched-air diving requires specific training and certification; this tool does not replace training, a dive computer, or analyzing your own cylinder.

MOD
- Enter an oxygen percentage (or pick a common mix like air or EAN32) and a ppO2 limit
- See Maximum Operating Depth for that mix and limit
- See the actual ppO2 at your planned depth, flagged if it exceeds your limit
- See Equivalent Air Depth (EAD) for logging against an air table or air-calibrated computer
- See Equivalent Narcotic Depth (END) - oxygen counted as narcotic or nitrogen-only, both conventions used by different training agencies
- Switch between metric and imperial depth, and salt or fresh water

- Enter a planned depth and ppO2 limit
- Get the richest whole-percent nitrox mix that keeps ppO2 at or below your limit, always rounded down for safety, with the actual ppO2 it produces
- Blend a cylinder: enter starting pressure and mix, target pressure and mix, and a top-up gas
- See how much pure oxygen to add first, then how much top-up gas, using the partial-pressure blending method - or a plain explanation when the target cannot be reached by adding gas alone
