About this app

Sharing a home should not mean one person becomes the household manager. Ottr makes chores quick to log, easy to see, and fairer to share.

LOG IT WHERE IT HAPPENS

Pair an NFC sticker with the chores around your home: the dishwasher door, the vacuum cupboard, or under the sink for the bins. Tap your Android phone to the sticker and the chore is logged to you. There is no need to open Ottr first. No list to browse. No task to hunt down.

Shared lists and spreadsheets do not fail because they lack features. They fail because keeping them current is another job. Ottr removes that friction, so the chores you do actually get counted.

NFC is optional. You can log every chore manually, so you can start straight away and add stickers whenever you want.

SEE THE WEEK, NOT THE ARGUMENT

Each completed chore earns ripples. The Pond turns them into a shared, week-at-a-glance view of who did what and where the load landed. No blame or guilt—just a clearer picture for both of you.

MAKE THE ROUTINE REWARDING

Spend ripples on rewards you choose together: a lie-in, control of the remote, or someone else doing the bins for a fortnight. Set up a reward shop, or create a trail of treats to work towards together.

MORE WAYS TO STAY ON TOP OF HOME

- Otter's Eye learns each chore's rhythm and lets you know when it is overdue
- Areas keep the kitchen's chores with the kitchen
- Streaks and milestones to celebrate progress
- Dark mode
- A simple invite link for your partner or housemates

Ottr is free to use. Ottr Plus adds encrypted cloud storage, a web dashboard, Home Assistant support, and smarter notifications.

MADE FOR SHARED HOMES

Ottr is built for two people sharing a home, and that is where it shines. Larger households are welcome too: invite everyone and the Pond tracks the whole group. It is not designed as a chore chart for young children or a room-by-room cleaning schedule for one person.
Share chores fairly. Tap an NFC sticker to log them in seconds.
